Underwater rocks at the coastline of Tobermory, Canada

Weird and wonderful lakebed topography under incredibly clear water is just one factor that helped earn Tobermory a reputation for being ‘the freshwater SCUBA diving capital of the world.’ Located roughly 200 miles north of Toronto on a large bay of Lake Huron, Tobermory offers another allure for divers: plenty of shipwrecks. Twenty-two sunken vessels are located within Fathom Five National Marine Park alone. The remarkable natural attractions continue above water, as the park features Flowerpot Island and its towering duo of fanciful rock pillars. And Bruce Peninsula National Park is adjacent to Tobermory if you would like to explore more of the southern Ontario wilderness.
